Brasilia, Brazil, June 13 – After being defeated by the Netherlands in straight sets in Saturday’s first match, reigning champion Brazil avenged the setback and beat the Dutch 3-1 on Sunday in the second meeting in Nilson Nelson Gymnasium, in Brasilia. The world No. 1 secured a 25-14, 25-27, 25-18 and 25-19 win in 109 minutes.

Despite the defeat, the Dutch remain on top of Pool A with nine points from three wins out of four, followed by Brazil in second with eight points, while Bulgaria and Korea follow with seven and zero points respectively.
